How do I rent from Dixie Does Vintage ?
Select items you want for your wedding or event and add to “my wishlist”. Rental prices for all items are posted, we try to be as transparent as possible so there is no guessing or wasted time. Tabletop items have $300 minimum, Will Call pickups have $250 minimum, and deliveries are subject to a minimum. Delivery is based on round trip mileage, the size of the delivery crew and the truck that’s needed. (Minimums do not include any fees delivery, setup, tax ect…)

We are happy to hold items on a proposal, however, a proposal does NOT guarantee availability of any items. If you choose to move forward we require a 50% non refundable deposit, a credit card authorization, and signed contract. Questions? OK, I'M FINISHED SELECTING AND READY TO COMMIT! WHAT NEXT?
Fill out the contact form with -the when, where, and how many guests etc… and hit send! We will email a detailed proposal with rental items, confirm availability, and delivery/ setup fees for your requested date. A proposal does NOT guarantee the availability of any items. To move forward we require a 50% non refundable deposit along with a credit card on file and signed contract .
Your order is not confirmed unless the contract has been signed and the 50% deposit has been received. The remainder balance is due 15 days before your event.
Can I make changes to my order? I’m not exactly sure of which pieces work together and need a little help?
Yes, of course, send us a written email with your desired changes. Changes to your order may be made up to two weeks prior of your event date.
All changes are subject to availability and must be requested in writing (remember most pieces are one of a kind) and of equal or greater value to the invoice and contract you have signed.
So what happens in case of damage or loss?
Yes, it occasionally happens and yes, you are responsible for all items from the time of delivery or will call pick-up until returned. A 10% damage waiver is included in each invoice to protect against missing flatware, chipped china and glassware, and expected wear and tear on our rentals. If the furniture is maliciously damaged and in need of professional restoration, you will be billed for the repair or replacement of the furniture.
Texas weather can be unpredictable and Dixie Does Vintage rentals are not weather-proofed, therefore, we require clients to provide a back-up plan for any outdoor events. We want to ensure that our rental items are taken care of, secure, and protected from weather at all times.
We do charge for excessive broken, damaged, and unreturned items including missing equipment such as containers, totes, packing and moving supplies. If the item is fixable, you are liable for the repair cost. If the item is beyond repair and needs to be removed from inventory, we will assess the value at three to five times the rental rate or replacement cost. Dixie Does Vintage requires a credit card on file. Fee’s for non-repairable or unreturned items will be accessed on a case by case basis and charged to the credit card on file. Replacement fees vary according to each item and may be obtained prior to renting.
Tell me about delivery? What if I just need a few small items and want to pick them up?
Delivery fees are based on round trip mileage, the size of the delivery crew and the truck or vehicle that’s needed. Let us know the details and we will be happy to quote the delivery fees for you. There is a $600 minimum rental order for deliveries requiring a truck.(not including tax and delivery fees) Deliveries requiring a truck generally begin at $150. (Late night retrievals incur an additional charges)
If you do not need delivery you can pick up small items (no vintage games) at our East Dallas location by appointment. There is a $300 minimum for tabletop items and all other orders have a $250 minimum. Items must be transported inside an enclosed vehicle such as an SUV or box truck. Dixie Does Vintage reserves the right to decline pickup if the vehicle is deemed unsuitable for transportation and could possibly cause damage to our items.
Tabletop and China Rentals
Dixie Does Vintage is proud to offer our beautiful vintage and antique china for your event. Our vintage china collection is more delicate than commercial catering china and never should be washed in a dishwasher. China must never be subjected to extreme heat such as a microwave, stovetop, oven, or broiler. It is your responsibility to inform your wedding planner or caterer of this to ensure the china is properly handled and repackaged.
All china, glassware, and flatware is given to you clean, sterilized and ready to use. Please keep in mind the vintage silver plate flatware has a patina that comes from age, is mismatched, and sometimes has an occasional bit of tarnish.
After use please instruct your caterer to scrape, empty glassware of liquids, and rinse all of the china, glassware, and flatware before returning in crates and totes or an additional cleaning fee will be assessed.
